Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we store, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data, and there are no third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Data stored on your device

Your game progress, found words, daily streaks, and chosen difficulty are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). This never leaves your device unless you submit a score, and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Leaderboard submissions

When you choose to submit a score to the leaderboard, we store the handle you typed, your score and stats, the puzzle identifier, and a one-way hashed form of your IP address used only to prevent abuse and spam. We never store your raw IP address and cannot reverse the hash to identify you.

What we do not collect

We do not require an account, name, email, or any personal details to play. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

Cookies and analytics

The core game works without cookies. If we add privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics in the future to understand which puzzles are popular, we will update this policy and never use it to track individuals across sites.

Your choices and contact

You can clear all locally stored data through your browser at any time. To request removal of a leaderboard entry, contact us and include the handle and puzzle date.
